Artefill(R)

Artefill and Restylane are two of the most popular fillers. Artefill is the first "permanent" filler that has just been approved by the FDA for injections into deeper facial folds and wrinkles, such as the "naso-labial" folds. Not to be confused with Botox which is an injectable, to weaken certain overactive muscles, but not a filler. Artefill contains PMMA microspheres which provide a permanent support for the skin. Results are immediate with no down time. Usually Artefill treatment requires one or two sessions but a skin testing is necessary because it contains bovine collegen as carrier. Artefill and Restylane have proven to be safe and effective.

Thread Lift (APTOS(R) Lift, Contour Lift(R), Feather Lift(R)

There is now a less invasive procedure available which can lift, contour and suspend the sagging tissues of the face and neck. The Thread Lift Procedure can provide quick and relatively painless results for selected patients. 

This procedure is considered much less invasive than traditional mid-face, face and brow lifts, requiring less operating room time and less downtime. The Thread Lift is becoming popular with younger persons wishing for subtle changes or to possibly delay the signs of aging such as facial drooping.

Radiance or Radiesse(R)

Radiance or Radiesse (calcium hydroxapatite) provide the longest lasting option among the non-permanent fillers for patients who want correction of deeper facial wrinkles. Radiesse, which has been approved by the FDA for use in the human body, and recently approved for facial cosmetic use, is a smooth, thin cream that can be injected with a syringe (similar to Collagen). Injections of Radiesse approximately 12-18 months and does not require a skin test like collagen.
